Special Report – Wichita Falls Tony Curtale Suspended Indefinitely

Ummmmmm yeah, so on the island of misfit toys, some pretty strange shit happens.  Apparently the same strange shit happens in Wichita Falls.

So, just over a dozen games into his NAHL comeback, Tony Curtale has been suspended indefinitely.  No explanation has been given, but this release was made by the team;

“Wildcats Head Coach Tony Curtale has been indefinitely suspended by the team, ownership announced Tuesday.

Co-owners Roy Davoult and Alex Shnayderman are currently evaluating the situation and expect to have more answers in the near future.

“We’ve built this organization off of values and respect,” Davoult said. “We’re going to keep it that way.”

In the meantime, Josh Nelson will serve as the team’s interim head coach. He is expected to be the bench boss against the Topeka RoadRunners this Thursday, Friday and Saturday.”

Yeah, so its Tuesday, and they already decided Nelson will be on the bench all weekend.  That sounds like a little more than “indefinite” and a lot closer to predetermined.

Juuuuuuussssst in case Davoult and Shnayderman didn’t know it, you know like hearing about reputation of coaches and how they run teams before you hire them, Curtale is a no bullshit kind of guy.  Its his way or no way.  Might be one of the reasons why he is the winningest coach in NAHL history.

Naaaaaahhhhh no one knew about that shit right?  Well, what ever it is, it’s bad enough to be made public and not be handled internally.

And here I was sitting and worried that nothing was really happening this week.  Stay tuned kids, I think we might have more on this one shortly.
