Buffalo Regals And Delhi Travelers Go Dark

Two more teams have been claimed by the COVID-19 virus this off season.

The GOJHL Buffalo Regals and PJHL Delhi Travelers have both been forced to take the 2020-2021 season off. The reasoning for both teams though is very different.

The Travelers simply could not survive the financial crunch put on the organization due to the pandemic. Without the ability to raise funds this off season, it became impossible to assemble a roster to compete.

The Regals though simply can not cross the Canadian border. In fact, no teams based in the United States will be crossing into Canada to play this year.

The Canadian – United States border is expected to remain closed at lease until the new year and more than likely well into 2021.

The OJHL’s Buffalo Junior Sabres were forced to take the year off for the same reasons.
