Dells Ducks Bring In New Head Coach While Maintaining Same Standards Of Excellence

The Dells Ducks we hatched in 2011 under the guidance of team President John Schwarz.  Their inaugural season was one of learning, and in 2012 a commitment to player development was made with the hiring of Bill Zaniboni.

Over the last five years the Ducks have amassed a record of 173-49-10.  Winning Division and League Championships along the way.  While still managing to place more than a dozen players per year into College programs.

That track record, sets a high standard for success by any measure.

With the departure of Coach Zaniboni this fall, Mr. Schwarz is looking to maintain those same standards of excellence.

“I was looking for someone who would come in and simply follow the blueprint we have in place.  I think we have found that person in Jeff Worlton.” Said Schwarz “He has experience at higher levels, and has worked with Coach Zaniboni on player development.  With that relationship, Coach Worlton has an understanding of whats expected, and how we take car of our customers.”

A new hire, does not mean immediate change.  Coach Zaniboni will be in Wisconsin assisting Coach Worlton in the transition before he moves back to his home town of Boston.

“Its been a great five years here in the Dells.  We have won a lot of games, and moved a lot of young men on to college.  In the end the education is the only thing that matters.  I know Jeff will continue that tradition and I am going to be here to help make sure the change keeps things at a consistently high standard.”  Said Zaniboni

Worlton is no stranger to Mid West either.  Having coached and lived in Minnesota before coaching in the NAHL the last two seasons, Worlton is looking forward to being closer to home.

“Its a tremendous opportunity to come in to a very successful organization.  To work with Mr. Schwarz, and transition with my friend Bill, just made this an optimal situation.”  Said Coach Worlton “Having their support during the transition is something not many new coaches get the benefit of.  I look forward to maintaining the tradition of excellence that has been developed here in the Dells.”

The Dells Ducks have been elevated to the USPHL – Premiere Division for the 2017-2018 season.  Look for the Ducks staff to be out scouting all summer long as they look to reload for the upcoming season.
