Northern Cyclones 6, South Shore Kings 3
Congratulations to the Northern Cyclones as they bounced back from an early 1-0 deficit to win Game 4 against the South Shore Kings by a 6-3 score, giving them the 2025 New England Division Championship. Keenan Schneider scored twice for the Cyclones, and the trio of Michael Markowski, Alek Brudek and Carson Strapon each had a goal and an assist. Thierry Lizotte registered two assists. In net, Paul Dalessio stopped 38 of 41 shots for the win. Beau Lane made 37 saves on 41 shots for the Kings. With the title win, the Cyclones have advanced to the Dineen Cup Championships April 25-29 in Wayne, N.J.
Mercer Chiefs 6, P.A.L. Jr. Islanders 4
Mercer Chiefs came back from being down 2-0 in the Atlantic Division Championship series to win Game 4 6-4 and even up the series at two games apiece. The decisive Game 5 will be played Monday, with the winner going on to the Dineen Cup Championships.
In Saturday’s game, Mercer was also down 3-2 and had to battle back to win. Casey Johnson, Samuel Ciappa and Artyom Barashkin each had a goal and an assist apiece. Easton Swift had two assists for Mercer. In net, Cole Werthman made 42 saves on 46 shots for the Chiefs. Ethan Ramonetti made 27 saves on 32 shots for P.A.L. Game 5 will be played Monday on Long Island at 2 p.m. EDT.
Idaho Falls Spud Kings 2, Ogden Mustangs 1 (OT)
Leo Mantenuto made no mistake about where to put that puck. Mantenuto scored the OT game-winner and also the series-winning goal to send the Spud Kings to the Dineen Cup Championships in Wayne, N.J. This will be the Spud Kings’ first trip into the field of four teams with one goal – the Cup! Easton Edwards assisted on both goals, including Andrew Schmidt’s goal that tied the game at 2:32 of the first – after Ogden’s Tommy Fetterman put up the game’s first goal just 23 seconds into regulation. Charlie Durkin was his usual heroic self, making 37 saves on 38 shots, and Ogden’s Dilans Birkans was also a force for his team, stopping 43 of 45 shots. The Dineen Cup Championships begin April 25 in Wayne, N.J.!
