Fort Frances to host SIJHL AGM this weekend

FORT FRANCES –  The Superior International Junior Hockey League will hold its annual general meeting in Fort
Frances this weekend.

The three-day event will commence Friday evening with a meeting of the SIJHL’s board of governors.

Day 2 Saturday will see the league AGM held in the conference rooms at Ice for Kids Arena starting at 9 a.m.

Among the topics on tap include details on the 2014-15 season, the number of teams that will participate, the league’s regular season schedule and playoff format, official recognition of the league award winners and CCM first and second all-star team recipients, Hockey Canada, Canadian Junior Hockey League, Hockey Northwestern Ontario rule changes and amendments, discussions on the SIJHL Showcase as well as the announcement of the host team for the 2015 Dudley-Hewitt Cup Central Canada Jr. A championship.

The SIJHL meetings will conclude Sunday as the member clubs work on finalizing the league’s schedule for the 2014-15 season.
