Corpus Christi 1 @ Texas 6 – Brandon Hawkins continues to be one of the best stories in the NAHL as he scored his 26th, 27th and 28th goals of the season with a hat-trick performance as Texas beat Corpus Christi 6-1 on Friday in front of over 2,300 fans in Frisco. The rookie leads the NAHL in goal scoring. After Corpus Christi got on the board in the 1st period with a goal from AJ Jarosz, it was all Tornado as Jason Eddy and Brandon Platt scored to give Texas a lead they would never lose. Hawkins scored his three goals in a 19 minute stretch of the 2nd and 3rd periods. Andrew Mayer also scored, Scott Conway had three assists and Hunter Leisner made 25 saves in the Texas win. Boxscore

Odessa 1 @ Amarillo 5 – The Bulls kept their division lead at four points over Texas as they cruised to a 5-1 home win over Odessa. The Bulls outshot the Jacks by a whopping 57-16 margin. After no scoring in the 1st period, the Bulls opened up a 3-0 lead in the 2nd period with goals from Connor Frey, Garret Peterson and Mike Davis. Ryan Stevens and TJ Sarcona scored in the 3rd period. Matthew Montemurro added the lone goal for the Jacks. Boxscore

Springfield 2 @ Topeka 1 – Goaltender Matt Leon beat Topeka for the third time this season as he made 30 saves to help the Jr. Blues pick up a big 2-1 road win in front of over 2,500 fans in Topeka. All the scoring came in the 2nd period as Mitch Rogge and Ryan Atkinson lit the lamp for Springfield, while Brandon Brossoit scored the lone goal for the RoadRunners, who had a 31-14 shots advantage in the game, but could not solve Leon. Aberdeen 0 @ Austin 5 – Goaltender Nick Lehr made 26 saves for his first shutout of the season as the 1st place Bruins continued their hot play with a 5-0 shutout win at home in front of a packed house in Austin over the Wings. Chris Fischer and Cody Dixon each scored twice and John Simonson had the game-winning goal. NAHL points leader Brandon Wahlin picked up three more points with three assists on the night. Boxscore

Port Huron 2 @ Soo 4 – Forward Brandon Adams had a hat-trick in his first game in a Soo Eagles uniform and goaltender Tyler Marble made 42 saves as the Eagles picked up a 4-2 home win over the Fighting Falcons. Kody Polin and Easton Powers gave Port Huron an early 2-1 lead in the 1st period. Pat Thompson scored for Soo. Then came the Brandon Adams show as he scored twice in the 2nd period and one more in the 3rd period. Boxscore

Coulee Region 2 @ Bismarck 5 – The Bobcats scored the first five goals of the game and never looked back in a convincing 5-2 win over the Chill on Friday. Stanislav Dzakhov had a goal and an assist in just his second game with Bismarck. Shane Omdahl scored in the 1st period, Matt Anders and Dzakhov added 2nd period goals and Adam Knochenmus and Kevin Becker scored in the 3rd period. Mac Jansen and Garrett Hendrickson scored in the 3rd period for Coulee Region. Boxscore

Brookings 2 @ Minot 4 – Minot goaltender Tyler Parks stole the show again as he made 35 saves to help the Minotauros climb into 3rd place alone in the Central Division with a 4-2 home win over Brookings. Tim Donohue had two goals and an assist in the win and Collin Abitz and Jake Clifford also scored in the Minotauros win. Thomas Williams and Aidan Cavalinni had the goals in the losing effort for the Blizzard. Drew Weigman made 17 saves in the loss. Boxscore

Kenai River 5 @ Wenatchee 3 – The Brown Bears handed the Wild just their fourth loss in regulation this season as they scored four, 1st period goals on their way to a big 5-3 road win in Wenatchee on Friday. Brad Duwe had the game-winning goal and an assist and Gustaf Johansson made 30 saves in the win. Alex Jackstadt, Matt Seidel, Alex Butcher and Duwe all scored in the 1st period and Albin Karlsson added an empty-net goal. Blake Roubos, Trace Redmond and Jacob Barber scored for the Wild. Boxscore

Fairbanks 2 @ Fresno 4 – The Monsters scored three, 2nd period goals and snapped their eight-game losing skid with a 4-2 win over visiting Fairbanks on Friday. Four different players scored for Fresno including a 1st period goal from Matt Salituro and 2nd period tally’s from Daniel Rosse, Newton Fuller and Gordon Wells. Two Ice Dogs goals in the 3rd period from Ben Campbell and Kyle Lee made things interesting, but Tomas Sholl made the lead stand with 25 saves, 13 in the 3rd period alone. Boxscore
