Coach & GM Ryan Wood continues to build his 2017-18 roster, today announcing the addition of 17 year old forward Zach Bannister. Bannister, a 5’10” 180 forward from Grand Prairie, Alberta.
Two seasons ago, playing for OHA Edmonton Prep in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League, CSSHL, Zach tied for 8th in league scoring with 42 points in 36 games.

Asked to describe his game, Zach said, ” I’m a fast two way physical player that has a good offensive skill set. I pattern my game after Brad Marchand, With my nitty gritty ways, I’m the kind of player everyone wants to play with, and not against.”
Coach Wood says,” Zach brings that western Canadian character coupled with offensive ability.” As for his decision to come East, Zach said, ” after talking with Coach Wood it sounds like a terrific organization to be a part of. I’m very happy and pleased to have signed with the Gold Miners and look forward to a very successful year.”
