The United States Premier Hockey League is proud to announce the winners of the inaugural 2024 Fan’s Choice Awards voting. Potomac Patriots forward Siamion Marshchanok has been named the USPHL Premier Fan’s Choice MVP, and Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings goaltender Bora Yildirim was named as the USPHL Premier Fan’s Choice Goaltender Of The Year.

The first phase of voting began on May 6, in which anyone could vote for any player. The league’s media team identified four top candidates and allowed write-ins. From this first round, the top two vote-getters in each category were pitted against each other one-on-one with no more write-in votes allowed. We thank all of you who voted in the final phase, as we saw over 1,450 votes.

Most Valuable Player: Siamion Marshchanok, Potomac Patriots

In the forward competition, the Patriots’ Marshchanok earned 61.6 percent of the votes as of the close of voting at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 13. The Patriots forward scored 112 points to tie for fifth all-time in a single USPHL Premier season, while his 73 assists were ranked fourth all-time. He was a magic man in the faceoff circle, as well, winning 558 faceoffs for a 63 percent success rate.

Marshchanok’s abilities and contributions helped the Patriots to their best season in USPHL Premier history, as they went 36-3-3 for 78 points, and their .893 winning percentage ranked third in the league. The Patriots qualified for the USPHL Nationals for the first time in their team history and made it to the quarterfinal round.

Goaltender Of The Year: Bora Yildirim, Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings

Bora Yildirim, who led the final voting with 58.8 percent, led the USPHL Premier with his .950 save percentage, the best all-time for a single Riverkings goaltender season, and seventh all-time in the USPHL Premier. He also went 3-0 in the postseason to help the Riverkings to a Nationals berth for the first time since 2018. During the postseason, Yildirim put up a 2.01 GAA and a .947 save percentage.
