Matt McIlvane has left the USHL’s Chicago Steel for EC Red Bull Salzburg of the Austrian hockey league.
While no official word has come from the USHL or the Chicago Steel, EC Red Bull Salzburg has announced the hiring of McIlvane as an assistant coach for the 2013-2014 season.
Sources were reporting to TJHN late last week that the move to Austria was imminent. TJHN will update this story as more information becomes available.
