NA3HL Jacks Get New Home May 29, 2012 7:56 PM

Cleveland Heights, Ohio

As the Jacks unveil the new motto for next season in “One Team, One Goal”, we find ourselves in the familiar situation of changes. Last season the Jacks stepped it up a notch with a new light show, new website and so many other changes the word “New” become a commonly used term around the Cleveland camp. This year we are back in the same boat.

This past week GM and Head Coach Bob Jacobson, along with Team President Mike Bauman announced that after many years of playing at Hoover Arena in Strongsville the Jacks organization has decided to move venues. The 2012/2013 season will be played at the Cleveland Heights Community Center in Cleveland Heights, Ohio.

“This is an exciting time for our team. We are moving to a beautiful facility just minutes from the downtown area as well as other local hotspots.” said Mike Bauman, President of the Jacks. “The Arena Management and Cleveland Heights Youth program have welcomed the Jacks with open arms and we could not be happier with the reception we have got from the Community. We have already begun talks with the youth teams to have junior players, coaches and media staff help take their great organization and players to another level.”

The Cleveland Heights Community Center is located on Mayfield road on the corner of Mayfield and Monticello. The building recently went through a 13 Million Dollar renovation and boasts 2 Sheets of Ice, an indoor health center and much more. This facility has hosted multiple high profile events including the World Speed Skating Championships and houses an Olympic size sheet of Ice, which will be setting for the Jacks home games.

As far as what the Jacks do, the building and management have extended the Jacks the ability to continue our product with the addition of new lights and new products for our fans.

“Fans will need to stay posted as there are more changes to come this season.” said Tony Sposit, Director of Media and Game Day Operations for the Jacks “We are going to step it up another notch and kick Jacks hockey into high gear this year. We plan on adding a ticket option to the website for fans to get tickets online as well as an area for fans to purchase Jacks merchandise. The game day product will not change as we will still have our broadcast team there for every game as well as our light show and in game entertainment which I am happy to say is getting make over and will be better than last year. Our motto is not just for the boys on the ice, but for the team behind the scenes as well as we really want make Cleveland a place players, parents and fans want to be.”

The Jacks begin their 2012/2013 campaign in September. Stay posted to jrjacks.com from more updates about the great things coming from the Jacks camp this summer.
