NCDC 2023-24 Players Of The Week: Mountain Division

Games of Oct. 17-23, 2023

 

Forward: David Utkin, Utah Outliers 

Utkin (‘05/Murmansk, Russia) came out of the Outliers’ three-point weekend with three goals and two assists for five points in a pair of games. He has six goals over his last four games and leads the league with 12. Overall, he has posted 16 points in 10 games, missing the scoresheet only once. 

 

Defense: Jack Bartfield, Ogden Mustangs

Bartfield (‘04/Bloomington, Minn.) enjoyed a good couple days in helping the Mustangs stay at the top of the Mountain Division. He posted three assists in their 6-3 win against Provo, also his NCDC debut. He was a +7 in his opening weekend. 

 

Goaltender: Griffin Davis, Utah Outliers

Davis (‘05/Nashua, N.H.) picked up three points by making 90 saves on 95 shots – in just two contests. In the team’s 7-1 victory, he made 49 saves on 50 shots. In the shootout loss the next night, he stopped 41 saves on 45 shots, giving him a .947 save percentage and a 1-0-0-1 record, keeping him still undefeated in 65 minutes with a 4-0-0-1 record and a .931 save percentage on the season. 

 

Rookie*: Parker Osborn, Ogden Mustangs 

Over the Mustangs’ two-game sweep weekend, Osborn (‘05/Mound, Minn.) posted three goals and added one assist for a four-point weekend, his second such weekend. Osborn, a former Mound High School Captain, currently has 12 points in eight games.
