Forward: Nathan Stachowiak, South Shore Kings
Stachowiak (‘04/Cheektowaga, N.Y.) was absolutely on fire as the Kings swept the Boston Junior Bruins, scoring three goals and adding three assists for six points in the two games. Going back to Oct. 20, Stachowiak is on a five-game goal-scoring streak and six-game scoring streak. He has a 7-7-14 line in that stretch to push him to 22 points in 16 games. His 23 career goals are good for fifth all-time in the Kings’ NCDC history.
Defense: Nick Dimatos, Utica Jr. Comets
The Jr. Comets split against the Islanders Hockey Club and Dimatos (‘03/Princeton, N.J.) was big all weekend, putting up two goals in each of the games. He also registered 25 defensive takeaways and blocked five shots on the weekend. With 36 points in 63 games, he is the fourth leading scorer among all-time Utica defensemen.
Goaltender: Ryan Keyes, South Shore Kings
Keyes (‘03/Fairbanks, Alaska) continues to just win and that’s all. With an 11-0-0-0 record, he remains the only goaltender completely undefeated this season. He picked up his two most recently wins against the Boston Junior Bruins, making a total of 47 saves on 49 shots for a .959 save percentage.
Rookie*: Jeffrey Kreidler, Twin City Thunder
Just recently coming out of the Pittsburgh Penguins Elite program, Kreidler (‘04/Pittsburgh, Pa.) had a great debut with the Twin City Thunder on Nov. 4, making 46 saves on 49 shots with a .939 save percentage. Overall, he is 3-3 this season.
