NCDC Commitment Profiles: Northern Cyclones’ Schneider Excited For Future With Stevenson University

By Alexis Demopoulos

Forward Keenan Schneider, a two-year veteran of the Northern Cyclones, was thrilled to announce his NCAA Division III commitment to Stevenson University for the 2025-26 season. Schneider, a Villanova, PA native, signed with the Cyclones during the 2023-24 season and in 50 games put up 24 points. He returned to the club for the 2025-26 season and had a great regular season with 47 points (12 goals, 35 assists) in 50 games, giving him exactly 100 regular season games for his NCDC career.

Schneider currently has three goals and six assists in eight games during the Cyclones playoff run, which will continue at the Dineen Cup Championship Series April 25-29 in Wayne, N.J.

“The Northern Cyclones have helped me grow not only as a player but as a young adult,” said Schneider. “The Cyclones also have given all the NCDC players great facilities, such as a gym with everything you need to improve your game off the ice. I re-signed for this season because I believed in coach Bill Flanagan and his staff’s full support to help me grow and become a better hockey player and person.”

Schneider started talking to the coaches at Stevenson right after he got back from Christmas break. He explained that they showed interest in his “effort and hard-working play style along with good skills and IQ.”

The size of the campus, the modern facilities and resources the school offers to athletes are ultimately what drove Schneider to make Stevenson his school of choice.

“What interested me most about Stevenson was the school’s support for athletes and the opportunities and resources they offer to help athletes excel not only in their respected sport but in the classroom as well,” said Schneider. “I also found Stevenson to have a very impressive campus with most of the buildings being relatively brand new and the access for athletes to use what was once the NFL’s Baltimore Ravens practice facility, now owned by Stevenson.”

Schneider plans to work on his 200-foot game to continue to be an impact player on and off the ice as he prepares for the next level at Stevenson.

Schneider and his Cyclones teammates still have unfinished business to attend to before he can think about college. They have a New England Division Championship in hand and now their sights are set on the Dineen Cup.

“With my commitment process being complete, I look to win the championship,” said Schneider. “With the group of guys we have in our locker room, our team feels like we can do it.”

The NCDC congratulates Keenan Schneider, his family, the Northern Cyclones and Stevenson University for his commitment.
