NCDC Frozen Futures Showcase Kicks Off On Dec. 14 In Idaho Falls

IDAHO FALLS — The Mountain America Center is thrilled to announce the first ever NCDC Frozen Futures Winter Showcase is coming to Hero Arena with three action-packed days of junior ice hockey Dec. 14-16.

All six teams from the Mountain Division of the NCDC will take to the ice for a total of nine games happening in Idaho Falls at the Mountain America Center.

The NCDC Frozen Futures Winter Showcase is being brought to Idaho Falls with support from the Idaho National Laboratory and Idaho Environmental Coalition.

Game tickets and showcase packages are currently on sale to the public starting through Ticketmaster.com.

“We are excited to welcome some of the best junior hockey players that the world has to offer, as well as give them an opportunity to showcase their abilities in front of over 25 NCAA institutions during this event,” states Mountain America Center General Manager, Erik Hudson. “The goal of the NCDC has always been centered around player development, and with this groundbreaking showcase in Idaho Falls, we hope to contribute to this mission by hosting a world class event for all to attend. Go Spud Kings!”

Commenting on this exciting event, NCDC Commissioner Kevin Abrams states, “The first annual Frozen Futures Winter Showcase promises to be an outstanding display of what the NCDC, and specifically the new Mountain Division, has to offer its players, fans, and the entire hockey world. Having elite college bound players performing at this level will be a terrific event to mark on your calendar if you’re an NHL scout, college recruiter or a hockey fan in the region. I look forward to attending this year and returning to the spectacular Mountain America Center that the Idaho Spud Kings call home.”

The Idaho Falls Spud Kings will take to their home ice within Hero Arena each night of the showcase for the evening game.

Showcase package options will include six games, and do not include the matchups with the Idaho Falls Spud Kings.

Thursday, Dec. 14:

10:30 a.m. – Provo Predators vs. Rock Springs Grizzlies
2:30 p.m. – Utah Outliers vs. Ogden Mustangs
7:05 p.m. – Idaho Falls Spud Kings vs. Pueblo Bulls

Friday, Dec. 15:

10:30 a.m. – Rock Springs Grizzlies vs. Ogden Mustangs
2:30 p.m. – Pueblo Bulls vs. Provo Predators
7:05 p.m. – Idaho Falls Spud Kings vs. Utah Outliers

Saturday, Dec. 16:

10:30 a.m. – Pueblo Bulls vs. Ogden Mustangs
2:30 p.m. – Rock Springs Grizzlies vs. Utah Outliers
7:05 p.m. – Idaho Falls Spud Kings vs. Provo Predators

Ticket Purchase Options:

1- Three Day Pass: includes all six morning and afternoon showcase games, general admission, package starting at $34.00 (not including applicable fees and taxes). This package does not include evening Spud Kings games.

2- Single Day Matinee Tickets: includes admission into BOTH morning and afternoon games on chosen date, general admission. Single Day tickets starting at $13.00 (not including applicable fees and taxes). These tickets do not include evening Spud Kings games

3- Spud Kings Game Tickets: sold as single game tickets to each of the evening Spud Kings games, reserved seating, various ticket price level available starting at $19.00 not including applicable fees and taxes)
