ŁÓDŹ, POLAND — The Łódź Legion is proud to announce that forward Ryan Murphy of Fishers, Indiana, has committed to the club for the 2026–27 season, the inaugural campaign of the European Union College Hockey League. Murphy, 21, becomes the latest addition to a roster built on speed, character, and competitive excellence as the Legion prepares to redefine the college hockey experience on European ice.
Murphy brings an exciting two-way game honed most recently with the NY Dynamo, where he established himself as a high-energy presence capable of impacting play at both ends of the rink. Scouts have consistently praised his combination of speed and grit, noting his relentless work ethic and ability to excel in all three zones. The Fishers native fits the Legion’s identity perfectly—a skilled, committed player who understands that hockey success requires more than just offensive flash. His versatility as a forward who can kill penalties, forecheck aggressively, and contribute offensively makes him an ideal fit for Head Coach’s system and the competitive landscape the EUCHL promises to deliver.
“He embodies everything we’re looking for—skill, character, and a genuine excitement about what we’re building here in Łódź. Ryan’s speed and two-way commitment will be infectious in our locker room, and we believe he’ll thrive both on the ice and in the classroom.”
As the Legion continues assembling its inaugural roster, Murphy’s addition signals the club’s commitment to its tagline: Developing Players. Building Character. Redefining the College Hockey Experience. The 2026–27 season cannot come soon enough.
