The Death Pool – Cullitons player convicted of sexual assault

Hey kids, sorry I am a day late.  I guess we had a little server upgrade going on.  Not my fault boys and girls, trust me I wanted to get the story out.

Stratford Cullitons hockey player Mitch Vandergunst will be sentenced on sexual assault convictions in a Goderich court last week.

The convictions came last fall on two sexual assault charges relating to incidents involving the same individual one night in the summer of 2013. He was acquitted on a third charge.

But those charges and convictions apparently only became known to the hockey club in the last few days.

Talk about keeping a secret huh?  Can you be serious, no one knew about these charges in todays age of media, and how people talk?

Ummmmmm yeah, I am calling bullshit on this one.

The team President said the team’s prevention officer will also conduct a full investigation to find out if and why the information was kept from the board, and by whom.

Ummmmmm yeah, ok buddy.

But hey, like all good courts do, there is a publication ban in place to protect the identity of the victim.  Now, that’s the right thing to do, but if you believe for a second someone wasn’t aware of this kid getting charged and going to court, you might want to buy some beach front property in Alaska.
