YEAHHHHHHHH BOOOOOOOYYYYYYY!!!!! Oh hell yeah. Dont believe the hype kids! All the hype about Tier III expansion all over the country and all the great cities involved. Well almost all of it got shot down!
So yeah, imagine this……..
You get the USA Hockey Tier III caucus in a room, discussing expansion of Tier III and some leagues are objecting over other leagues expansion proposals. You get local affiliate presidents objecting to expansion in his state, and he doesnt even show up to make a personal argument yet the expansion is shot down!
An application for an NOJHL team to start up in Alpena Michigan was shot down too! Yep, forget adding another Tier II program for kids in the US. Brilliant!
So yeah, lets block a lot of expansion and a free market economy where the strongest operators would survive and thrive. Lets continue to protect some teams that should not be protected simply because they exist. Hell yeah, I always say let the guy who can not deliver the product he says he is selling continue to sell the product. Thats always a strong move for any league! HA HA HA

Teams are linig up for AAU now. The WSHL looks to be doing a pretty damn good job under AAU for the last few years, even though they have a coupld operators who need to be put six feet under too.
So, what will happen now with all those expansion applications that were denied by USA Hockey? Well, you can look for most of them to end up in the lap of AAU.
Yep, one door closes and another door opens. But hey, its a great idea to have people who own teams and want to protect their own franchises ability to survive making decisions on new team applications that could have an effect on the voting team.
Can you imagine some of the things being said in those talks?
“Hell no Bob, we cant let him in, that arena is way nicer than mine and he is only ten minutes away.” “I hear ya der Jimmy, the guy lookin to come into my territory wants to charge more than a grand less that we do.” “Oh hell no, there aint no way we are gonna let either one of these guys set up shop and hurt us.” HA HA HA
Nah, there is no way something like that could take place! HA HA HA
