There are all kinds of tricks and treats going on this week kids! Some of us dress up in our capes with a nice scythe for reaping and some dress up in orange jumpsuits!
Though its certainly not pumpkin orange, its close enough. Thanks to another great tipster we found out about the WSHL’s Tahoe Icemen Head Coach Tom Maroste being charged with DUI last month.
Crazy I know, but the team actually did nothing about it! No suspension, no nothing. Doing a little research though, it looks like Maroste was released on $15000.00 bond. http://molosyndicate.com/3/1-1628
Seems to be an awful high bail amount for a DUI doesn’t it kids? Considering everyone else who gets charged in this County pretty much gets a $5000.00 bail. You have to wonder why Maroste’s bail was triple the amount that is usually given.
But hey, when you have what could be the absolute worst junior hockey team in the world, you might be driven to drink too. Yep, the name change from the Lake Tahoe Blue last year to the Tahoe Icemen this year sure has lead to a lot of success.
Sporting the perfect 0-15-0 record, many people are thinking this team may just be able to run the table. Scoring a whopping 23 goals in those 15 games and allowing 128 goals against is a sure fire recipe for continuing that perfect pattern. That’s right kids, there is a negative 105 goal differential! Ummmmmm yeah, when you give up almost 9 goals per game your are almost assured of this kind of perfection.
It will definitely be a race for the perfect record though. Tahoe and Whitefish will tangle in January and if both perfect records are on the line, someone is going to have to really outwork the other team in order to maintain perfection! Ha Ha Ha Seriously folks, you cant make this shit up if you tried! These two teams are in the same division!
Then again that’s Tier II hockey for ya! LMFAO Tier II hockey! Hey, someone pass me a drink will ya, this season deserves a toast!
