Wenatchee Downs Jamestown

The Wenatchee Wild took home the win against the Jamestown Ironmen, 5-2.

The win gave Wenatchee a 1-0 lead in the best of one series.

The Wild’s offense rang up 32 shots on Jamestown’s net. Wenatchee cashed in on power play opportunities, scoring two goals on three chances.

The Wild were led by Max McHugh, who dished out three assists.

The Ironmen relied on a core group of players for most of their offense, as Ryan Doucet, Victor Johansson and Elliot Tisdale took 10 of the team’s 16 shots.

Jamestown also got a goal from Daniel Cesarz as well. More assists for Jamestown came via Tyler Dunagan, who had one.

Wenatchee’s Robert Nichols stopped 14 shots out of the 16 that he faced. Joe Ballmer rejected 27 shots on goal for Jamestown. The Ironmen incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors and had no power play opportunities.
