The Bold City Battalion, a new Jacksonville, Fla.-based team opening at the USPHL Premier and USPHL Elite levels in September, has announced its first Head Coach for their inaugural 2023-24 season.
Rett Vossler, a native of Houston, TX, owns and operates “Pelican Sports Group”, a hockey agency, helping players further their careers at the professional level. Vossler’s coaching career began in Iceland at the U18 and U16 levels. For the past six seasons, Rett has been an assistant coach with the Tampa Bay Juniors, helping lead them to the National Tournament all six seasons.
“I’m extremely excited to be hired as the first Head Coach of the Bold City Battalion! It’s a huge honor that Rod Simmons and Ron Kinnear have put their trust in me to build this program in a very competitive Florida Division of the USPHL. I look forward to creating a competitive, fun, and challenging environment here in Jacksonville to develop young men into better hockey players, and most importantly, better human beings.” – Head Coach Rett Vossler
