Forward: William Johnson, Pueblo Bulls
Johnson (‘04/Edina, Minn.) joined the Bulls already with 50 games of Tier II experience in mid-October. The experience showed this past weekend when he registered three goals and an assist in the Bulls’ 7-5 loss to Ogden. He also had one assist on Nov. 10, and overall has six goals and two assists for eight points in the last four games. His big weekend improved his totals to 14 points in 11 games.
Defense: D.J. MacLeish, Idaho Falls Spud Kings
The ‘05 from Troy, Mich., was one of the top scorers for the week league-wide as he put in three goals and added two assists for five points in two games. He was in on all four goals in the Spud Kings’ 5-4 loss to the Rock Springs Grizzlies, posting a 2-2-4 line, and then came back the next night in their win with the game-winning goal. MacLeish improved to 16 points in 15 games this season.
Goaltender: Philip Rondina, Utah Outliers
Rondina (‘03/Pierrefonds, Que.) had one heck of a debut for the Utah Outliers, although he is not new to the Tier II game, having multiple years of experience in the CCHL. Rondina posted a 33-save shutout, as the Outliers defeated the Provo Predators on Nov. 11.
Rookie*: Martin Crepinsek, Idaho Falls Spud Kings
Crepinsek (‘05/Celje, Slovenia) has been playing in Slovakia and Austria, as well as representing his home country of Slovenia in two IIHF World Under-18 Championships. Crepinsek scored two of his four total goals in the Spud Kings’ 5-4 loss to the Rock Springs Grizzlies, and then added two assists the next night when the Spud Kings beat Rock Springs, 3-1. He has seven points in 14 games.
