NCDC 2023-24 Players Of The Week: Atlantic Division

Forward: William Jasmin, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights 

Jasmin (‘03/Montreal, Que.) was monstrous for the Knights over their two-game sweep of the Rockets Hockey Club this past weekend. He registered three goals (off of 15 shots on goal) and two assists for five points. He has 25 points to tie for third in scoring in the league, and he also has three game-winning goals, including in the team’s 10-2 win on Nov. 12. He was also a +4, helping his team give up only three goals in the two games. 

Defense: Chance Uzzell, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights 

Uzzell (‘04/Woodstock, Ga.) was all over the ice for the Knights, leading them in ice time during the series against the Rockets, averaging 23:58 per game. He also posted a goal and two assists for three points, had a team-best 15 takeaways, and he was a +3 and tied for the team lead in hits with three. 

Goaltender: Daniel Moor, Jersey Hitmen 

Moor (‘06/Allendale, N.J.) had his best weekend of the season during the split with the Connecticut Jr. Rangers. In the end, he put up 83 saves on 86 shots for a .965 save percentage and a 1.50 goals against average. In the 2-1 loss, he stopped 40 out of 42 shots, and then turned away 43 out of 44 in the Hitmen’s 6-1 victory. He currently holds a .918 save percentage for the season. 

Rookie*: Devin Niles, P.A.L. Jr. Islanders 

Niles (‘06/Hatfield, Mass.) posted three assists as the Jr. Islanders earned a sweep against the Mercer Chiefs, giving them a team record of 10 wins in a row. On Nov. 10, he posted an assist on both Marshall Beaker’s and Ryan Franks’ goals in the 2-1 victory, while also adding a helper on Beaker’s GWG the next day in a 4-2 win. The former Springfield Jr. Pics 16U standout now has 13 points in 18 games this season. With the Pics, he was teammates with current P.A.L. teammates Coleson Hanrahan and Tomas Smetanka.
