Southeast Division
Forward: Siamion Marshchanok, Potomac Patriots
Marshchanok (‘05/Minsk, Belarus) continues to lead the USPHL Premier and it’s becoming not even close – he’s 14 points ahead of his closest competition. He has put up 61 points in 20 games to help the Potomac Patriots take the team points lead in the Premier with 38 points with an 18-0-2-0 record. Most recently, the Pueblo Bulls (NCDC) tender scored three goals and five assists for eight points in two games, helping the Patriots sweep the third place Charlotte Rush. His 2.22 career points per game is seventh all-time among players of multiple seasons.
Defense: Keaton Toenjes, Carolina Jr. Hurricanes
Toenjes (‘03/Gilbert, Ariz.) helped the Jr. Canes sweep the Hampton Roads Whalers and earn their ninth and 10th straight wins. Carolina ranks now fourth in Premier points. Toenjes registered three assists, was a +3, blocked two shots and his 21:59 in ice time was second on the team. Toenjes improved to 22 points in 20 games, and is just two points off of matching his 2022-23 point total.
Goaltender: Grant Kloeber, Carolina Jr. Hurricanes
Kloeber (‘04/Raleigh, N.C.) rose up out of the Jr. Hurricanes youth organization and, after playing Midget AAA beyond North Carolina, he came back to the Storm Surge. Recently, he stopped 35 of 36 Hampton Roads Whalers shots for his sixth win of the season and improved to 6-1-0-0 with a .923 save percentage.
Florida Division
Forward: Jacob Duhaime, Bold City Battalion
Duhaime (‘04/Ellenton, Fla.) continues to be a veteran leader, skating in his fourth USPHL season and first with the new Battalion team. He registered four assists on Nov. 10, a Premier career high, in a win against the Palm Beach Typhoon. He also had a goal in their win over the Tampa Bay Juniors, all part of a current nine-game scoring streak of 3-13-16. Also on the weekend, he was a +3 and won 19 faceoffs, for 50 percent of his total draws.
Defense: Emil Grinsvall, Bold City Battalion
Grinsvall (‘04/Goteborg, Sweden) scored three goals and added three assists for six points in the Battalion’s wins against Palm Beach and Tampa Bay. He was a +3 on the weekend and also had a blocked shot while averaging 28:56 of ice time. In this, Grinsvall’s first North American season, he has improved to 19 points in 17 games.
Goaltender: Timothy Miller, Florida Jr. Blades
Miller (‘04/Fairless Hills, Pa.) earned his first victory of the season when he stopped 66 of 68 shots to defeat the rival Florida Eels 3-2 on Nov. 11. He took a loss in his next game, stopping 46 of 51, to give him a total of 112 saves on 119 shots for a .941 save percentage. In his nine appearances this season, Miller has posted a .916 save percentage.
