Utah Outliers 4, Pueblo Bulls 1

The Outliers got goals from four different goal-scorers, with newcomer and THF alum John Carney (’07/Arlington Heights, Ill.) scoring the GWG, the first of his junior career. Jeffrey Fillion (’04/Saguenay, Que.) made 16 saves on 17 shots for the win. Fillion had helped the Northern Cyclones win the 2023 Premier National Championship, making him a great example of NCDC Advancement In Action.

 

Islanders Hockey Club 2, Seacoast Spartans 1 

Hunter Robitaille (’05/Zurich, Switzerland) scored the regulation GWG, and he also had an assist on the first goal. Nicholas Hubbard (’05/Lynnfield, Mass.) made 14 saves on 15 shots for the win.

 

Jersey Hitmen 2, P.A.L. Jr. Islanders 1

The Hitmen and Jr. Islanders battled through a very defensive first two periods. Finally, Derek Tremblay (’05/Quebec City, Que.) broke through for two goals to lead the Hitmen to victory, their fifth from the start of the season to lead the league. Nick Bunch (’05/Canton, Mich.) made 45 saves on 46 shots for the Hitmen, as well, and Patrick Walsh (’05/Bernardsville, N.J.)

 

South Shore Kings 5, Boston Jr. Rangers 2

Will Rassier (’04/Princeton, N.J.) scored his sixth goal and added two assists to improve to a league-leading 13 points on the season, while the Kings’ 5-2 victory helped them stand in a three-way tie with the Jersey Hitmen and – entering their Thursday night game – the Idaho Falls Spud Kings, all three division leaders. Sacred Heart University commit Jack DesRuisseaux (’04/Manchester, N.H.) and Jake Kavanagh (’05/Montreal, Que.) registered two assists apiece, and Xavier Vaillancourt (’04/Montreal, Que.) put up a 1-1-2 line. In net, William Baker (’05/Norwalk, Conn.) stopped 21 of 23 shots for the win.

 

Ogden Mustangs 6, Casper Warbirds 0 

The Mustangs were in control of their afternoon game on Thursday from start to finish, with University of Notre Dame commit Jackson Walsh (’05/Northville, Mich.) scored two goals and added one assist. In net, Hunter Bauer (’06/Bristow, Va.) registered a 26-save shutout. The Mustangs got a goal and an assist from each of Jack Bartfield (’04/Bloomington, Minn.) and Caleb Bendell (’05/Chanhassen, Minn.) and two assists from each of William Cherniak (’04/Desert Blume, Alb.), Brody Simko (’04/Butler, Pa.) and Grant Hineman (’04/West Chester, Pa.)

 

Idaho Falls Spud Kings 2, Rock Springs Grizzlies 0 

The Spud Kings earned their second straight shutout in the primetime game of the NCDC Frozen Futures Showcase Day 2. Prestyn Carter stopped all 23 shots he faced, while the goals came from Andrew Schmidt (’05/Chicago, Ill.) and Jonatan Raatikainen (’04/Kaaro, Finland).
