NCDC Players Of The Week: Mountain Division

Forward: Siamion Marshchanok, Pueblo Bulls

Marshchanok (‘05/Minsk, Belarus) posted a shorthanded goal and three assists for four points in the three games the Bulls played, in which they went 1-1-1-0. The former USPHL Premier Fans Choice MVP of 2023-24 while with the Potomac Patriots, Marshchanok now has 12 points in 10 games. 

 

Defense: Xavier Brooks, Casper Warbirds

A four-year junior veteran with prior year experience in both the NCDC and USPHL Premier, Brooks (‘04/Scarborough, Ont.) scored his first NCDC goal and added an assist accounting for points on both of his team’s goals in a recent loss to Idaho Falls. He has pushed his points total to five points in 11 games so far. 

 

Goaltender: Charlie Durkin, Idaho Falls Spud Kings

Durkin (‘06/Glencoe, Ill.) registered 25 saves on 26 shots, giving up just one in a 4-1 win against the Casper Warbirds. For the season, Durkin has a .934 save percentage. 

 

Rookie: Tyler Atchison, Idaho Falls Spud Kings

Atchison (‘06/Las Vegas, Nev.) put up a pair of goals and added one assist in the Spud Kings’ series against the Casper Warbirds. Atchison, formerly with the Windy City Storm, extended an active point streak to four games with five points over that span. 

Selection Process: Team coaches first nominate players, the League sends back finalists, and coaches are then able to further vote on finalists or nominate other players.
