Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights 3, Jersey Hitmen 2

Another big outing for WBS’ NCDC All-Stars selection Zackary Chouinard (’04/Trois-Rivieres, Que.) as he scored twice, including the regulation GWG in a 3-2 defeat of the Jersey Hitmen on Saturday. Emmanuel Pepin (’05/St-Jean, Que.) stopped 34 of 36 shots for the win.

 

Utica Jr. Comets 7, Thunder Hockey Club 4

The Jr. Comets have earned points in their last 10 games in a row (8-0-1-1), with their most recent victory coming on Saturday against the Thunder Hockey Club. Isaac Barrett (’04/Zionsville, Ind.) and Xavier Goodwin (’05/Alpharetta, Ga.) each had a goal and two assists. Zachary Groleau (’05/St-Constant, Que.) scored a goal and added an assist, and the duo of Anderson Sandquist (’05/Evergreen, Colo.) and Anthony Alvarado (’04/Stockton, Calif.) each had two assists. In net, Michael Valenta (’05/Sumperk, Czechia) made 37 saves on 41 shots.

 

Mercer Chiefs 4, P.A.L. Jr. Islanders 3 (SO) 

The NCDC All-Star selections were shining brightest for the Mercer Chiefs on Saturday. Justin Thibault (’08/Levis, Que.) scored the shootout-winning goal and Dominick Gatto (’05/St. Charles, Ill.) stopped 35 of 38 shots for the win, while Samuel Ciappa (’05/Baldwinsville, N.Y.) put up a goal and an assist in regulation.

 

Northern Cyclones 6, South Shore Kings 3

The Cyclones ended the Kings’ 26-0-2-0 streak by defeating them in regulation for the first time since the Kings’ last lost in 60 minutes on Sept. 19, 2024. NCDC All-Star Michael Markowski (’04/Spring Lake, N.J.) scored twice, and the Cyclones got a goal and an assist from each of Carson Strapon (’05/Hudson, Wis.) and Riley Casey (’05/Dorset, Vt.) Both Lorenzo Marra (’06/Latham, N.Y.) and Keenan Schneider (’04/Villanova, Pa.) All-Star Paul Dalessio (’05/Burlington, Mass.) made 27 saves on 30 shots.

 

West Chester Wolves 4, Mercer Chiefs 2

Defensemen Liam O’Donoghue (’04/Canonsburg, Pa.) and Harrison Kinne (’05/Swampscott, Mass.)  were the offensive leaders for the Wolves, with O’Donoghue posting a goal and an assist and Kinne put up two assists. In net, All-Star selection Griffin Davis (’05/Nashua, N.H.) made 32 saves on 34 shots for the win.

 

Utah Outliers 3, Casper Warbirds 2

The Outliers just barely edged past the Warbirds to split the weekend, with their All-Stars taking the lead. The Outliers got two goals and an assist from Garrett Joss (’04/Whitby, Ont.) and a goal and an assist from Makar Klochkov (’04/Orange County, Calif.) and in net, it was Marcus Ouellet (’04/Toronto, Ont.) making 41 saves on 43 shots in a huge performance.

 

Pueblo Bulls 5, Idaho Falls Spud Kings 

The Bulls ended another big point streak, as the Spud Kings had entered on a 14-0-2-1 streak. This was another showcase for the league’s recent All-Star selections, as the twin brothers Matsvei Marshchanok and Siamion Marshchanok (both ’05/Minsk, Belarus) put up lines of 2-2-4 and 1-1-2, respectively. Additionally, USPHL Premier call-up to the NCDC Liam Coutu (’06/Granby, Que.) had two assists. Noel Friedman (’05/Denver, Colo.) made 24 saves on 27 shots.

 

Ogden Mustangs 5, Rock Springs Grizzlies 3 

NCDC Prospects All-Stars selection Troy Hunka (’06/Canton, Ohio) scored twice for the Mustangs. Fellow All-Star and University of Notre Dame recruit Jackson Walsh (’05/Northville, Mich.) had two assists, as did Owen Hendrikson (’04/Rosemount, Minn.) Roman Cherniak (’04/Desert Blume, Alb.), also an All-Star selection, put up a goal and an assist. In net, Jannes Kamp (’05/Bloomington, Minn.) registered 29 saves on 32 shots.
