The TJHN Pre Draft Showcase has produced for many teams over the last few years.  A few of the NOJHL teams were able to capitalize on Pre Draft Showcase players this season during the very first weekend of the regular season.

The Elliot Lake Bobcats lead the way laying claim to three Pre Draft players.  Brett Wagner, Aviv Milner and Max Glashauser made themselves known in the league right away.

In just the first two games the Pre Draft trio accounted for ten points.  Wagner lead the way with an NOJHL leading 5 assists.  Glashauser followed Wagner tied for second place in the NOJHL with 4 assists.  Milner added a power play tally to round out the trio’s first weekend in Elliot Lake.

The Blind River Beavers Captain Samuel Wilbur followed the other TJHN Showcase players with 2 goals and 2 assists in three games over the weekend.  Vinny Barra also contributed with his strong, stay at home defensive play.

The Kirkland Lake Goaldminers got into the act with Jake Zarzycki contributing 2 goals and 2 assists in two games over the weekend.

Mike Kowicki also played a strong defensvie game for the Soo Thunderbirds Friday night in their victory over North Bay.

As the TJHN Pre Draft grows each year in the quality of players attending and in the numbers that commit to attend, it is expected that more NOJHL teams will reap the benefits of recruiting at the event.
