Northern Cyclones 5, Seacoast Spartans 4 (SO)

The Cyclones battled back from being down after the first and second periods, to win 5-4 in a shootout on Sunday. Carson Strapon (’05/Hudson, Wis.) scored the shootout winner. Ian Duffy (’04/Chester Springs, Pa.) and Michael Markowski (’04/Spring Lake, N.J.) each had a goal and an assist, and Lorenzo Marra (’06/Latham, N.Y.) put up two assists. Paul Dalessio (’05/Burlington, Mass.) stopped 30 of 31 in his relief appearance for the win.

 

Jersey Hitmen 5, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights 2

The Hitmen got their second victory against the WBS Knights on Sunday, with Arseniy Zharikov (’05/Moskva, Russia) put up a goal and an assist, while Aiden Ryan (’04/Raleigh, N.C.) registered two assists. Jack Kavetsky (’06/Westminster, Calif.) stopped 26 of 28 shots for the victory.

 

Worcester Railers JHC 2, Utica Jr. Comets 1 (OT)

The Railers put together an OT win against the Utica Jr. Comets, a 2-1 victory on their home ice. Brian Judge (’04/Rochester, N.Y.), his first GWG in his 11 games with Worcester. Cole Scullion (’06/Burlington, Ont.) made 26 saves on 27 shots, for his third straight victory.

 

Connecticut Jr. Rangers 2, P.A.L. Jr. Islanders 1 (SO)

Seth Wall (’05/Clarkston, Mich.) scored a shootout goal to register the victory for the Jr. Rangers, and in net, Jakub Kral (’04/Czechia) was strong with 49 saves on 50 shots.

 

Mercer Chiefs 4, Rockets Hockey Club 2

The Chiefs – now on a three-game winning streak – got a goal and two assists from rookie Samuel Ciappa (’05/Baldwinsville, N.Y.), while Nolan Collison (’05/Hillsborough, N.J.) scored a goal and an assist. Dominick Gatto (’05/St. Charles, Ill.) stopped 33 of 35 shots, and he is on a three-game winning streak.
