The Dallas Jr Stars Jake Huspen committed to D-3 Aurora University

The Dallas Jr Stars announced today that defenseman Jake Huspen (6’1″/180) has officially committed to D-3 Aurora University.

A native of Schaumburg, IL, Huspen appeared in 27 regular season games this year notching 9 goals, 5 assists and 74 PIMs.

Head coach Jason Deitsch commented, “Jake is a strong two way defenseman with a nose for the net and a punishing style. He gives you everything in the tank every shift.”

In the South Division playoffs, Huspen put up a goal and seven assists in five games, was a +5 with 4 PIMs.

Jake took the scenic route coming to Dallas for a season before now returning to the Chicago area to play his college hockey. Huspen, in his first year at the Junior level played Midget Major last season with the Northwest Chargers in the CSDHL where he captained the squad and put up 39 points.

Huspen becomes the 3rd official commitment to Aurora and the 4th NCAA commit so far.
