NAHL Warriors To Brooklyn – Lewiston Maine And Wilkes Barre Also On Tap

In February, TJHN published this article, NAHL Teams On The Move?  Now it looks like the old saying is once again true.  Where there is smoke there is usually fire.

Multiple sources are confirming that the Michigan Warriors will relocate to Brooklyn NY for the 2015-2016 season.  Those same sources are reporting that Moe Mantha will stay on as Head Coach.

Sources are also reporting that the Keystone Iceminers, currently being operated by the NAHL after Marybeth Hayes walked away from ownership, will be sold and relocated to Wilkes Barre PA.

Also on the slate is Lewiston Maine.  While it is yet unclear if this will be a sale and relocation of an existing NAHL franchise, or the purchase of one of the two dormant franchises the NAHL is holding.

While other sources are not naming cities, it would appear that there could be at least one or two other teams added to form an eastern division of the NAHL.

All this is expected to come to a conclusion this weekend and the team building process will hit high gear in short order as the recruiting season is well under way.

TJHN will update this story as more information becomes available.
