Wisconsin Rapids River Kings Announce Multiple Commitments

Lewis University Hockey is proud to announce the commitment of Chris Estey for the 16′-17′ season.
Estey (6’1″ 185 Chicago, IL) just completed his 2nd season with the Wisconsin Rapid Riverkings of the USPHL. Chris appeared in 95 games while scoring 16 goals and recording 17 assists during his time in the Rapids.
Chris is a player we have been after for 2 years, he has developed nicely during his time in junior hockey. He is a complete power forward and great character young man.  Chris brings instant depth to our lineup and I expect him to make an immediate impact to our roster next fall.  Coach Quarters has done such an outstanding job in developing Chris both on and off the ice, we know we are getting a quality student athlete that will become part of our new core to build around.  stated Lewis University Head Coach Tim Picco.
Chris will be attending Lewis University on academic scholarship and major in business marketing/management during his time as a Flyer.
Lewis University is one of the top aviation schools in the country and plays in the NCHL hockey conference. The Flyers finished the season 20-5-2 overall.
Ohio University Head Coach:

“We are excited to add Tyler. He has the ability to score goals and provide offense.. He comes from a great junior organization and has the opportunity to do well for us.”

From Coach Quarters:
The Riverkings want to thank Tyler for helping building our organization into a top flight junior program. Tyler is a proven goal score having averaged over a goal a game for the Riverkings in two seasons. Tyler ability provided him with opportunities to earn  calls up to the BCHL and NAHL. Tyler is one of the all time leading scores in Ohio prep history and come with a strong pedigree and family hockey ties. The Harkins family has produced two NHL players and Tyler’s first cousin was drafted in the 2nd round in the 2015 NHL draft. Having turned down multiple NCAA offer, Tyler is going to one of the very top ACHA D1 schools. Ohio University a great school and we are exited for Tyler as he begins his college career.
