Bob Woods Expected To Leave Anaheim Ducks For WHL’s Saskatoon Blades

The NHL’s Anaheim Ducks will begin searching for a new assistant coach this week as Bob Woods is expected to be named new General Manager and Head Coach of the Western Hockey Leagues Saskatoon Blades.

Woods followed Ducks Head Coach Bruce Boudreau as an assistant coach when Boudreau was let go from the Washington Capitals.

Bob Woods received permission from Ducks General Manager Bob Murray to talk to Saskatoon after expressing his desire to become a head coach again.

Woods was last a head coach when the American Hockey League’s Hershey Bears won a Calder Cup Championship in 2009.

TJHN will update this story as more information becomes available.
