Bradley Hefner Signs With Dells Ducks August 8, 2012 8:24 AM

There is a lot to be said about loyalty that is shared between a player and a coach. Bradley Hefner is loyal to Coach Zaniboni, and Zaniboni is loyal to Hefner. You see players following coaches all the time, at every level, and Junior Hockey is no different.

Following Coah Zaniboni from the Bozeman Icedogs, Hefner was a steady defensive performer last season. Coach Zaniboni is looking for more of the same from Hefner this season in the Dells.

"Brad is a great young man. He has a great family that I have gotten to know well, and I am honored to have him here in the Dells." Said Head Coach Bill Zaniboni "Getting a player to college is a process. Not just on the ice but off of it as well. Brads goal is to play college hockey somewhere, and thats what we are working on. Putting all of those pieces together."

I had a chance to talk with Hefner at the TJHN showcase this past April and he was very expressive in his comments about Zaniboni:

"Coach Bill demands a lot, and thats the way it should be. I have learned so much from him in such a short period of time, that I want to continue learning more. He has played NCAA hockey and knows what it takes. There is no substitute for that kind of experience."

Stay tuned as we profile another Ducks player daily until the start of the MNJHL season.
