Thank you, fans and stakeholders of the Brockville Braves, for the past nine years. Thank you for your support, your friendship, your commitment and belief in the team. In fifty years of hockey in Brockville, some things stay the same and some things change.

Todd and Krista Gill and family are announcing, effective immediately, the transfer of ownership in the The Gills have owned the team since the 2006- coaching position was in the 2005-2006 season. His love of coaching motivated the Gills to purchase the team in the summer of 2006.

Todd is now an assistant coach for the Adirondack Flames, the AHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames.

The Gills are very proud to announce the ownership has been transferred to Dustin Traylen and Hani Greiss.

As a player, Dustin came up through the CJHL (CCHL) playing two seasons for the Nepean Raiders, where he was a two time all-star and won goaltender of the year in his second season. Following his success Dustin earned a scholarship to Clarkson University Division 1 and subsequently turned pro where he spent time in the AHL, ECHL, UHL and CHL.

Following his professional years, most notably, Dustin has been assistant/goaltending coach at Concordia University (CIS) for seven seasons under the guidance of head coach and mentor, Kevin Figsby. He has also been an assistant coach in the CCHL with both Hawkesbury and Cornwall where he was a part of the championship team in 2013. Dustin is currently the Technical Director of Deux Rives minor Hockey and works very closely with many of the minor hockey associations in Montreal. He is also HP1 (high performance 1) Hockey Canada certified.

Dustin is not at all new to the region as he has family in the area and has vacationed in the 1000 Islands during the summers since his childhood.

Dustin is married to Lyanna Bravo-Traylen and together they have two children Irelynn, 4 and Heath, 3.

Hani Greiss is a close personal friend of the Traylen family. Hani is an independent businessman. His expertise is international trade. He is a huge hockey fan and is very much looking forward to this new endeavour.

The Gills are very hopeful that although there has been a transfer in ownership the support and encouragement from the community will continue. The support of the stakeholders is vital to the success of the team.
