Calgary Hitmen sign forward Landon Amrhein

Calgary, Alta. – The Calgary Hitmen have signed 2008-born forward Landon Amrhein to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.

Originally drafted by the Portland Winterhawks in the 2023 WHL U.S. Priority Draft,  the Hitmen acquired Amrhein from the Winterhawks earlier this month in exchange for forward Sam Spehar. The 6’4 forward from Celina, Texas has been playing for the Dallas Stars Elite program and is coming off an impressive 2024-25 season. The forward notched 92 points (29g, 63a) in 58 games played.

“Landon is a talented prospect that has all the tools to be an impactful offensive player in our league. He has length, strength and skill and recorded impressive numbers through his time with the Dallas Stars AAA program.” said Hitmen General Manager Garry Davidson “We are very excited to welcome Landon and his family to our organization.”
