All of you who refuse to actually read more than the title of a news article, who thought the Canada border would open for fully vaccinated people should begin to read the full story.
The Canada border is only open to Canadian’s who are fully vaccinated. Period. No Americans are allowed into Canada for NON-ESSENTIAL travel. This includes Junior Hockey players.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau when asked about the Canada border opening “I can tell you right now that’s not going to happen for quite a while,” Trudeau said during a campaign-style stop in British Columbia on Thursday.
After the first weekend of relaxed Canadian entry measures, half of the people seeking admission to Canada were turned away.
Only Canadian citizens, permanent residents and eligible foreign nationals who have gone two weeks since a full course of one of the four COVID-19 vaccines approved by Health Canada — Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, Oxford-AstraZeneca or Johnson & Johnson — are exempt from quarantine and allowed entry.
Now for all of you who want to keep on believing those Coaches and Advisers who are saying you can go to Canada and play, you will deserve exactly what you get when it turns out you can not. Just like it turned out players could not cross last year.
Sure, dual citizens can get in, and people with permanent residency and work visa’s, but if you think you are going to Canada just to play junior hockey, it is not looking good for you.

Individual players? Not likely.
My prediction has been, and remains, that the border wont open to US players until around January 1, 2022. After heavy vaccination numbers, and after a predicted “fourth wave” and the “Delta” variant are behind us. That’s just common sense thinking.
But hey, good luck to you for holding out hope. It worked so well last year.
