Cochrane Crunch Team Up With TJHN

The newly minted Cochrane Crunch, formerly the Elliot Lake Bobcats, have teamed up with TJHN as an advertising and content provider.  The third Northern Junior Hockey League team to do so in the last few weeks.

“Everyone here in the Crunch organization reads The Junior Hockey News on a daily basis.”  Said General Manager and Head Coach Ryan Leonard “After attending the Pre Draft Combine, seeing the talent level, and signing several players from the event it was a no brainer for us to get on board with them and increase our exposure to high quality players.  Between last season and this season I think we have signed eight or nine players that have come through the event, and every one of them is a top end guy for us.”

The Cochrane Crunch will be playing out of the Tim Horton Event Center in Cochrane Ontario.  A multipurpose state of the art facility that offers everything a player needs to be successful under one roof.

“I have known Coach Leonard for about five or six years now.  He runs a first rate program, works hard to promote his players to higher levels, and at the same time puts a winning team on the ice.”  Said Joseph Kolodziej TJHN Publisher “We are very happy to get the Crunch on board with us along with other teams and the league itself.  Its a league that is on the rise when it comes to level of play and producing quality collegiate players for NCAA and CIS programs.  Every year the league grows and we are happy to grow along with it.”

Last year, notable second team all star players Brett Wagner and Max Glashauser were just two of the players who played through the Pre Draft Combine.  Both of these players represented the NOJHL at the Central Canada Cup last season as well.

NOJHL graduate Michael Gambino was another Pre Draft Combine participant, and returner Aviv Milner is another who came through the event and is looking to elevate his play in his second NOJHL season.

Newly signed Josh Racek, Reed Gregory, Connor Lovie, and Jacob Gevaart are just a few more players making the move to Cochrane for the 2014-2015 season.

TJHN will be carrying all news on the Cochrane Crunch as they build toward opening night and what many are hopping will be a championship season.
