The Quinnipiac Bobcats currently sit at 15-1-3, all alone at the top of the ECAC, own the best winning percentage in the NCAA and are currently second in the Pairwise. How are they doing this again?
Sophomore forward and Union transfer Collin Graf is a big reason why the Bobcats have been so successful this season. Despite losing three of their top six scorers from last year, Graf has turned into a point-scoring machine and is currently third in the nation (9-20—29), one point behind Mr. Hat Trick Jason Polin for second.
Graf was a key contributor in his freshman season at Union where he finished the year second on the team in scoring (11-11—22). The Dutchmen finished middle of the pack in the ECAC and dealt with longtime coach Rick Bennett stepping down mid-season under pressure, which created an interesting culture from February on.
“There was just a lot of uncertainty the second half of the year and then multiple weeks after the season had ended where there was uncertainty of what direction Union was going and I didn’t really feel comfortable with that uncertainty and decided to enter the portal. I’m happy I did because it’s been great so far here,” Graf said.
