In approximately ten weeks, the Canadian Premier Junior Hockey League will take the ice at the venerable Pullar Stadium in Sault Ste. Marie Michigan.
“When we began developing the league, we felt it was critical for us to make every effort to make it convenient for scouts to see our players.” Said Commissioner Bryan Elliot “There is no better way to do that then to take our players to Michigan and have them in a building that scouts are accustomed to going to.”
With seven NCAA Division One, two NCAA Division Three, the USHL, OHL, NOJHL, and countless ACHA teams, the first annual CPJHL showcase will provide a unique scouting opportunity.
“Our plan for the showcase has always been to feature games with teams that have not seen each other in game action prior to the event.” Continued Elliot “These cross over games, provide for new competition, while eliminating additional travel costs from regular season cross over games. This helps keep us in line with being fiscally responsible to our players and their families.”
