CPJHL Showcase In Thirty Days – Expansion To Be Discussed

In Thirty Days, the Canadian Premier Junior Hockey League will host its first annual showcase at the venerable Pullar Stadium in Sault Ste. Marie Michigan.

The showcase will begin on Tuesday December 13th at 8:00 am featuring a matchup between the Almonte Sharpshooters and the Seaforth Generals and concluding on Thursday December 15th with a noon match up featuring the top teams from the event.

The CPJHL is competing under the Amateur Athletic Union and United Hockey Union banners in its first season as a development league.

“We understand we are a new league.  We have many young players.  But we also have a nice group of owners and coaches who want to see these players move on.”  Said Stephane Laveault one of the CPJHL’s founding members.  “Its a chance for us to all be together and talk about the future as we look at expansion next season.”

“The showcase is for the players.  Its all about our league keeping its development promise to them.”  Said Seaforth Generals Head Coach T.J. Runhart.  “We welcome all the scouts who can attend.  Our philosophy is simple.  If its good for the players, and helps move them along, we will do everything in our power to make it happen.”

The CPJHL, an eight team league will be taking expansion applications for the next thirty days.  If you are interested in getting expansion information please send an email to Stephane Leveault [email protected]
