Dineen Cup Playoffs Day 1: March 25, 2025

Rockets Hockey Club 3, West Chester Wolves 1

The Atlantic Division’s No. 4 seed Rockets Hockey Club took a 1-0 series lead after defeating the No. 5 West Chester Wolves by a 3-1 score in their playoff opener on Tuesday afternoon. #NCDCAllStars selection Jared Rothman scored twice, Cooper Struckel struck for a goal and an assist, and Jason Cai made 30 saves on 31 shots. #NCDCAllStars goalie Griffin Davis was also strong for West Chester, stopping 47 of 49 shots. Game 2 is at 1:30 p.m. EST Wednesday back at Bridgewater (N.J.) Sports Arena.

 

Worcester Railers JHC 3, Islanders Hockey Club 2

Big opening win today for the Worcester Railers JHC as they defeated the host and higher seed Islanders Hockey Club 3-2 in their 4v5 play-in game. Josh Reaska scored the GWG, Ben Lees scored a goal and added an assist, and Brian Judge had two assists for Worcester. Cole Scullion stopped 33 of 35 shots in net for the win. Braxton Castagno made 22 saves on 25 shots for the Islanders. Game 2 is Wednesday at 1 p.m. EST at Skate 3 Ice Arena in Tyngsboro, Mass.
