We have a 1-1 series in the New England Division 4v5 Play-In round! The Islanders Hockey Club got a 34-save shutout from Hiram College recruit Braxton Castagno in a 2-0 victory on Wednesday afternoon. A.J. Sacco and Troy Hayes scored the Islanders goals. Cole Scullion was also strong for Worcester in net, making 33 saves on 35 shots. Game 3 is at Skate 3 Ice Arena in Tyngsboro, Mass., on Thursday at 1 p.m. EST, live on FloHockey.

 

Rockets Hockey Club 4, West Chester Wolves 3 (OT)

The Rockets has closed out the Atlantic Division 4v5 series against the West Chester Wolves in style – OT style, that is. Ozzie Snodgrass was the OT game-winner hero for the Rockets as they won their series 2-0 to move on to the Atlantic 1v4 series against the P.A.L. Jr. Islanders, which begins on Saturday. The Rockets battled back from being down 2-0 to eventually get the win, which also saw a goal and an assist from NCDC All-Stars selection Shawn Swavely, two assists from Matiss Osans and 42 saves on 45 shots. For West Chester, All-Star goalie Griffin Davis was impressive with 42 saves on 46 shots.
