#DineenCupFinals: South Shore Kings Force Game 3 With 3-1 Victory

For the second season in a row, the South Shore Kings will play in a Game 3 with the Dineen Cup on the line. This time, the Kings were the team forced the extra game, by defeating the Ogden Mustangs 3-1, after the Mustangs won Game 1 by a 7-3 score.

Brody Simko started the scoring right out of the gate 44 seconds into the action, assisted by William Cherniak.

It wasn’t very long before Jack DesRuisseaux (assisted by Karim Gayfullin and Jason Zaccari) came back to get South Shore on the board for the first time, at 3:19 of the first.

The two teams then played the second period scoreless, the only scoreless period of the six played so far in the series.

A third period marked by 13 penalties saw two power play goals by the South Shore Kings. The first came from Brian Grant at 7:26, assisted by Salvatore Cerrato and Kotaro Murase, which stood as the game-winning goal.

Jake Kavanagh finished the scoring at 17:12 of the third period on another power play goal, assisted by Justin Ryan and the New England Division MVP & Forward Of The Year Murase again.
