Hershey broke the game open with a four-goal third period, pulling away after a tight first half. Ryan Vitale scored twice, including early in the second and again in the third, while Aleksander Yaninek and Connor Stewart added key goals. Elmira’s only marker came from Eian Robinson in the second period.
Wilkes-Barre Scranton Knights 4, P.A.L. Jr Islanders 2
The Knights used a strong second period to build a lead they wouldn’t surrender, with goals from Camden Adams and Colin Evans helping them pull ahead. Christian Hammer scored both P.A.L. goals in the third to make things interesting, but WBS held on behind a 40-shot performance.
