Eski Boosters up and running

Executive Committee selected at inaugural meeting

The new “booster club” met Thursday, May 15, 2014 at 7p.m. at the Curling Club to start up an exciting year of support for our Abitibi Eskimos.

An executive committee was formed including a President, Nancy Plummer-McDermott, a Vice-President, Carrie Dmytruk, a Secretary, Christie Redican, and a Treasurer, Rosalie Madden. The committee also includes a representative of the Abitibi Eskimos Hockey Operations department, a member of the board and a Player representative.

While actively supporting our Abitibi Eskimos program and encouraging its team participation, the club will raise funds for the team to enhance its programs, equipment, and facilities. Another goal of the committee is to promote interest in the athletic activities associated with our beloved Abitibi Eskimos.

Brainstorming and encouraging the ingathering of community and fundraising ideas, as well as game day ideas are essential elements to the executive committee and members alike. They appreciate the input and support of the members and community.

Please feel free to contact Nancy Plummer-McDermott at 705-232-5232 or at [email protected] or Carrie Dmytruk @ [email protected] and follow us on our facebook page at http://tinyurl.com/newwzzp.

The next general meeting will be held at the Curling Club on Monday, May 26 @ 7 p.m. All are welcome to attend! Many helping hands made the load light. Go Eskis!
