These dates coincide with the Easter holiday or spring breaks from school.  So, most people will miss zero or only a few days.  In years past, teachers and schools would not count days as absences when they were provided with an educational report on the trip.  Something to try, if teachers or the school administration have issues.

Over the course of nine days, there will be one practice, and a minimum of four games.  These games will take place against Polish 1st league teams.  If we can arrange it, a team from Slovakia wants to come and play a game in Krakow as well.

All travel will be by coach.  Parents accompanying players are welcome to travel on the coach to games.  The furthest trip will be two hours away.

Skate sharpening, socks, jerseys, dressing room snacks are included.

Hotel, and two meals per day are also included.  These are planned healthy meals for athletes, not fast food.

A tour of Wawel Castle will also be included.  Additional group discounts will be available for those who want to visit Schindler’s factory, or several other historically significant places.

We understand that some of you do have an opportunity to go far in the playoffs.  Your payment is completely refundable, minus any credit card fees, or you may apply it toward one of the August tours.

Cost is $1900 per player.  Not including flights.

Flights out of major airports in the US are averaging $900 round trip right now.  Usually layovers in Munich or Amsterdam.

Parents are more than welcome to come.  We can arrange discounted hotels for you are well.

A sample itinerary is below:

March 29 team breakfast 9:00 am, 12:00 coach departure for game 5 (if no game then a tour of Schindler’s Factory), team dinner 7:00 pm.

March 30, team breakfast and departure.

We are only taking 2 goalies, 6 defense and a maximum of 10 forwards so everyone gets plenty of ice time.  Scouts from European universities will be attending as well as pro scouts from Poland, Czech and Slovakia.

These trips in the past have always been a great learning and bonding experience for players and parents.  Besides the hockey, the experience of playing in Europe and seeing some pretty incredible places is not something a lot of players get to do in life.
