Former Junior Bruin, P.A.L. Jr. Islander Gale Named Atlantic Hockey Goaltender Of The Year

Thomas Gale, a former member of the NCDC’s Boston Junior Bruins and P.A.L. Jr. Islanders, was named the 2024-25 Atlantic Hockey America Goaltender of the Year for Holy Cross. He finished the regular season with a 20-11-2 record, 2.04 goals-against average, and .930 save percentage with two shutouts. His 20 wins and 895 saves were tied for the fourth-most in the nation, while his goals-against placed him 11th, and his save percentage tied for eighth. Gale earned the Atlantic Hockey Goaltending Champion title with a league-leading .940 save percentage in Atlantic Hockey games. A First Team selection this season, Gale enters the championship game with a 24-12-2 record, 2.06 goals-against, and .930 save percentage.

Gale played for the Junior Bruins in 2019-20, was named NCDC Goaltender of the Year that season, winning 32 games in net for the Junior Bruins. Gale returned to the NCDC in 2020-21, playing for the P.A.L. Jr. Islanders, winning 13 games. His regular season save percentage was a .937 for his two-year career.
