In what is being described as an early morning one car accident, former Soo T-Bird standout goaltender Michael Doan lost his life Saturday at approximately 8:30 am.
According to local news outlets, Doan was driving a 2013 Nissan Altima on Highway 14 just outside of Rochester Minnesota when the accident happened.
Reportedly the car went into a ditch and struck a utility pole. Where the car left the roadway, the highway begins a sweeping curve.
Doan was an NOJHL All Star who later went on to commit to Northern Michigan University.
