Friday Night Faceoff: Colts at Generals

The Oshawa Generals and Barrie Colts will battle it out for first place in the Eastern Conference in the next Friday Night Faceoff instalment.

The Generals (27-15-3-1) try and rebound from one of their most disappointing showings this season after losing 6-1 to the Guelph Storm on Sunday night.

Third overall NHL Draft pick Beckett Sennecke (Anaheim Ducks) leads the Generals into battle alongside veteran centreman Calum Ritchie (Colorado Avalanche) sharpshooting winger Colby Barlow (Winnipeg Jets) and hard-hitting captain Ben Danford (Toronto Maple Leafs) on the blueline.

The Colts (29-14-1-1) went through a recent slump but have come out on the other side, battling back to defeat the Brampton Steelheads 3-2 in overtime last Wednesday before stopping the red hot Brantford Bulldogs on Saturday, snapping their eight-game winning streak.

Overage vets Dalyn Wakely (Edmonton Oilers), Beau Jelsma and Owen Van Steensel lead Barrie into battle along with NHL prospects Cole Beaudoin (Utah HC), Riley Patterson (Vancouver Canucks), Emil Hemming (Dallas Stars), Tristan Bertucci (Dallas Stars) and top 2025 NHL Draft prospect Kashawn Aitcheson.
