Hampton Roads Whalers USPHL Southeast Showcase Begins Thursday

The first event on the always exciting and comprehensive USPHL Showcase Series schedule will begin this Thursday, Sept. 22, when the puck drops for the USPHL Southeast Showcase in Chesapeake, Va. All games will be played at Chilled Ponds Ice Sports Complex, home of the Hampton Roads Whalers (and previously site of the 2021 USPHL National Championships).

The event will feature all 12 organizations fielding teams in the USPHL Elite and Premier’s Southeast and Florida Divisions, with teams at both levels participating in the five-day festivities. Above and beyond those divisions, the showcase will feature the addition of four teams joining from outside the Southeast region.

From the Southeast Division, you will see the host Hampton Roads Whalers, Charlotte Rush, Carolina Jr. Hurricanes, Potomac Patriots, Richmond Generals and the first-year Nashville Spartans. From the Florida Division, teams include the Florida Eels, Florida Jr. Blades, Tampa Bay Juniors, Palm Beach Typhoon, Atlanta MadHatters and the first-year Columbia Infantry.

The Wooster Oilers and Columbus Mavericks join from the Great Lakes Division; the Motor City Gamblers travel in from the Midwest East Division; and the Hershey Cubs from the Mid-Atlantic Division are also in action in Chesapeake.

The Dan K Show and USPHL Media will be on site over the course of the event, with Dan and Lucas from The Dan K Show calling seven games and presenting live pre-game shows Thursday and Friday from the Chilled Ponds lobby. Watch all of the USPHL social media accounts from Thursday through Monday for photos, interviews and highlights.

Coaches from all college hockey programs are encouraged and invited to join us to see fantastic talent from the Premier and Elite Conferences.

USPHL and Whalers staff will be on site to help connect coaches with players upon request. There will be first class viewing areas and hospitality as well for coaches visiting Chilled Ponds.

For those unable to attend, please watch the action exclusively on HockeyTV.com throughout the event!
